Dinosaurs on the Move Community Animation Project
Bring dinosaurs to life your way! The Discovery Center of Idaho is inviting artists, dreamers, and dino fans of all ages to submit original dinosaur-themed animations for a one-of-a-kind community video showcase.
About the Project
We’re collecting digital animations from our community to create a collaborative video celebrating creativity, storytelling, and the prehistoric world we all love. Whether you’re a first-time animator or a seasoned creator, we want to see your dinosaurs on the move!
After all submissions have been collected and reviewed, we will assemble a video showcasing the amazing work of our community posted at the Discovery Center and online. Follow us on social media to catch the final premiere on July 22, 2026.
Submission Guidelines
- Theme: Dinosaurs or the Mesozoic Era.
- Animation types accepted: Stop motion, video of hand-drawn or flipbook animation, digital animation, and more. Get creative!
- Original work only: We love seeing people’s creativity and ask that you do not heavily rely on AI for this project.
- Submit your animation as an MP4 file in landscape orientation.
- Physical submissions will not be accepted; digital files only.
- Submission deadline: June 30, 2026.
How to Submit
Step 1: Create Your Animation
Make an original dinosaur or Mesozoic Era–themed animation using stop motion, hand-drawn or flipbook video, digital animation, or another digital format of your choice. Save it as an MP4 file in landscape orientation.
Step 2: Submit by June 30
Use the submission form to upload your MP4 file before the deadline. Physical submissions will not be accepted. SUBMIT HERE
Step 3: Watch It Come Together
Your animation will be featured in a community showcase video posted at the Discovery Center and online. Tune in for the premiere on July 22, 2026 and follow us on social media so you don’t miss it!
