Discovery For All

The Discovery Center of Idaho firmly believes in fostering an inclusive, diverse, equitable and accessible learning environment for all individuals. We are committed to promoting a comfortable atmosphere where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered to learn and contribute. Our team is available throughout your visit for any questions or assistance.

Visitors Needing Special Accommodation

Service animals are welcome throughout the entire Center. The Discovery Center of Idaho and ADA require that service animals be under the control of the handler at all times. The service animal must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered while in public places unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the person’s disability prevents use of these devices.

The Discovery Center reserves the right to deny admission if these requirements are not met.

  • All spaces in the Discovery Center are wheelchair and scooter accessible. A limited number of wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first served basis.
  • All public entries and exits are fully accessible with ramps and our front doors have automatic door openers.
  • Our parking lot has four accessible parking spaces available, all van-accessible.
  • Benches are located throughout the Discovery Center of Idaho.
  • Visiting with a professional aide? Professional aides accompanying a visitor with a disability receive free admission. One aide per visitor. Aide admission can be redeemed upon arrival.
  • Know before you go! Preview our gallery map to prepare for your visit.
