Yes! This is the perfect gift for lifelong learning. Simply purchase a gift membership online, or
call us at (208) 343-9895. Gift membership forms are also available at our reception desk.
Memberships are active for a full calendar year from the date of purchase. If you’re renewing
your membership, your current membership will be extended for a full year. There is never a
penalty for renewing early.
A “Family” is defined as two adults and all children (under 18 years of age) residing in the same household.
There are two options for membership cards: a digital membership card, which you can
download to your phone, or a physical card which can be obtained at the Center or mailed to
you if you join online. Either format provides the ASTC Passport Program travel benefit that
may be used for free or discounted admissions at more than 300 science centers and museums throughout the world.
Yes, when you visit, we will ask to scan either a plastic membership card or the digital app on your phone.
An Add-On Member can be added to any membership for $30, perfect for a nanny, cousin or
other individual.
Your membership includes ASTC travel benefits: free or reduced admission to 300+ science centers and museums worldwide! There are two restrictions to this rule: 1) the museum must be at least 90 miles AWAY from the Discovery Center and 2) the museum must be at least 90 miles AWAY from your home address. Please check the ASTC Passport Program list of participating science centers and museums at astc.org before you visit, as the list of participants does change annually. It’s also a good idea to call the museum or science center you’re planning to visit in advance to avoid any blackout dates or restrictions.
Memberships are not refundable at this time.
Replacement cards are available at our front desk or by phone at (208) 343-9895. The digital
membership card lives on your phone.
