Homeschool Days

Take Learning Beyond the Classroom

Turn a day at the Discovery Center into a hands-on learning experience for your homeschooler. During the school year, Homeschool Days give families and homeschool groups an opportunity to explore our current exhibitions, engage with STEM concepts and make new discoveries together.

Designed for learners of all ages, these special days offer reduced admission and optional take-home activities to keep the learning going after your visit.

All Ages Welcome

Homeschool Days are offered on select dates throughout the school year, with a limited number of tickets available for each event.

Tickets must be purchased in advance and become available two weeks before each Homeschool Day.

To help as many families as possible participate, we ask that each group attend only one Homeschool Day per exhibition.

Registration opens two weeks before each Homeschool Day.

Please limit your group to one Homeschool Day per exhibition.

Keep the Discovery Going at Home

Extend the experience beyond your visit with a special take-home activity kit inspired by the current exhibition. Available as an optional add-on during registration, each kit includes materials for multiple activities that families can explore together or individually. Kits are available for pickup at the front desk when you arrive for Homeschool Day. Please limit purchases to one kit per family.

Know Before You Go

A few things to keep in mind when planning your Homeschool Day:

Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Check-in is available from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM. Tickets cannot be honored for arrivals after the check-in window.

Homeschool Day tickets are final sale and cannot be refunded.

Membership discounts do not apply to Homeschool Day admission.

Homeschool Day admission cannot be applied toward the purchase of a membership.

Each group may attend one Homeschool Day per exhibition.
