Annual Gala

Presented by First Interstate Bank, our Science with Style Gala is our key annual fundraiser and all funds raised will go towards our reimagined Discovery Center. Meeting our fundraising goal will support a complete interior and exterior renovation for cutting-edge exhibitions currently unavailable to us and allow us to expand our STEM and art programs for students, educators and the general public.

Join us for an unforgettable night featuring silent and live auctions, games and science demonstrations. The best part? You can feel good knowing that by participating in our event, you’ll also be contributing to the future of the Discovery Center of Idaho.

Our annual Science with Style Gala brings together 250 guests, including influential figures from some of Treasure Valley’s most iconic companies, as well as fellow STEM enthusiasts from our vibrant community. It’s a fantastic opportunity to network, connect and make a positive impact on the educational landscape here in Boise and beyond.

Leap into the Future – Wear your brightest neon for a brighter future! Add pops of color to your outfit or splash out in neon from head to toe. Cocktail attire is encouraged.

The Reimagined Discovery Center Will Have...

EXPANDED YOUNG LEARNERS SPACE

This innovative space is designed for families with children under the age of 4, where they can immerse themselves in the thrilling world of STEM. By crafting play opportunities, we’re enabling young minds to engage with STEM concepts with the goal of igniting a lifelong passion for learning, which will later set the stage for an effective classroom learning experience. 

FABRICATION WORKSHOP & CLASSROOM SPACES

With a new cutting-edge production lab and classroom spaces, you’ll find access to top-of-the-line equipment and safe learning spaces designed to inspire curiosity. Our mission is to empower the community with invaluable tools for critical thinking, leadership and technical prowess in the realm of STEM. Equipped with these skills, they’ll be prepared to conquer real-world challenges and make a lasting impact in the Boise area and beyond. 

EXPANDED GALLERIES

These updated spaces will help us embrace change and stay ahead of global educational trends. We’re not just looking to reach new audiences; we’re aiming for the stars! Our innovative gallery spaces will ignite curiosity in young minds, fostering a lifelong passion for science and technology. In addition to expanded gallery space, a world-class library filled with easily accessible online and virtual learning resources will be available to the state of Idaho.
